Unit four reflection
I was looking forward to this unit when I learnt what we were going to do, but then I had some issues and got behind with all the work. Now that I've finally done it I feel like I'm a natural (at least that's my perception) I guess I like to give instructions and plan things, but that's probably obvious because I'm a teacher. I wished there had been more time for me so I could actually see how the completion of it was like and I wouldn't be asking myself: Was I clear enough?; Was it too much?; Is it right? I guess I'll know wen I get my 'famous' feedback.
My opinion about the course
I liked about this course that it gave us a lot to look into deeper, at least I think that it is the students responsibility to complement the knowledge, after all, when entering a course, there is (or should be) a will and a disposition to learn what is taught, but also, to look after ourselves that we have all the information that will satisfy our craving. This course was like an appetite opener in the sense that I want some more of it, thank you teacher.
Unit three reflection
The things I liked about this unit was how we got to respond to given situations that we could come to face in the future without the fear of actually having the situation presented to us. It was like rehearsing for those thing that we might experience later so that when it actually happens we won't freeze in panic. We also reviewed some theory (probably so we wouldn't miss it, lol). The topics I like more were feedback and assessment and it gave me the jumpstart so I can start digging deeper into it later. I didn't quite understand the "Stating clear objectives" thread, I get that it's is important to be clear in this kind of courses specialy cause we're not face to face and I guess this activity was practice, I just didn't understand what with the conferences. Finally, I like the hollistic quetion because I've been trying to implement that approach more and more in my classes ever since I learned of it.
Unit two reflection
What I liked about this unit is that it was a balance between theory and practice, it was like a soft jump into actual hands on work. Let me eplain myself better, in this unit we got to work on given e-tivities so we could see the structure but at the same time learning new concepts in theory. It serves the purpose of a mid unit in the sense that it takes you by the hand into the other unit. So long so good...
